We’d rather get the work right than take your money and argue about it.
Audio work is bespoke — once it’s done it can’t be returned or resold — so we don’t offer refunds as a matter of course. Instead there are three things built in, so you’re never gambling.
1. Hear it before you spend anything
The free trial master is one full-length track, mastered properly. Not a preview clip, and no card details required. If you don’t like what you hear, you’ve lost nothing but the upload.
2. Revisions are included
Unlimited, for 30 days from the date we first deliver, as long as the adjustments are to work we’ve done. Most “I’m not happy with this” conversations turn out to be a revision rather than a refund.
3. Not sure? Hear it before you pay
For quoted jobs (EPs, albums, restoration, bespoke production), or if you’re not sure what you need, get in touch instead of checking out. We can do the work first and send you a private streaming link. You pay once you’re happy, and then we release the files. Larger jobs may need a deposit, and your written quote will say so.
Orders placed through the shop
Services bought through the shop are paid at checkout, which is what lets us start the same day rather than waiting on an invoice. The free trial and the revisions above both still apply, and clause 5 of our Terms of Service sets out your cancellation rights before delivery.
When we will refund
- We’re unable to complete the work — full refund of whatever hasn’t been done
- You cancel before we’ve started — full refund
- Something has genuinely gone wrong at our end — we’ll put it right, and if we can’t, we’ll refund
When we won’t
- The work has been delivered, done competently and as described, but it isn’t to your taste. Mixing and mastering are subjective — that’s exactly what the free trial and the revisions are there for.
- You’ve supplied a new or altered mix and want the original work refunded. That’s a new job rather than a fault.
Before you ask
Email info@znlmastering.com and tell us what isn’t working. We’ll almost always fix it, usually quickly.
Please don’t go straight to a chargeback. It’s a breach of our terms, and it makes a slow process out of something we could have sorted the same afternoon.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the work isn’t carried out with reasonable care and skill, or isn’t as described.
